Garth Lezard - world cyclist

On Wednesday 14th December Mr Garth Lezard came to speak to Rooms 9, 10 and 12 about his journey biking around the world. Garth has biked around 5 of the world’s continents: North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. He is currently riding around our continent, Oceania.
Garth started his journey on 4th December 2010 and has been on a 3 and a half year journey. We learnt that there are many caring people around the world that are willing to help. Garth’s first bike, ‘Craigey’, (not sure how to spell it) helped him until it was ‘Craigey’’s time to retire, but Garth eventually got a new bike.
Did you know that Garth travels on a plane or boat to other countries, so he doesn’t technically bike around the world because you can’t bike on water or else you’ll just sink.
He told us that he met lots of new people that later on became his sponsors.Garth is cycling to raise money for charity. We wish Garth Lezard the best of luck on the final part of his journey.
