Mobiles and Bio Poems

As usual the first task for the year was for Room 10 2015, was to create a mobile that gives information about them, their interests and ambitions. Many chose to use objects that represented their interests like a fishing rod,an arrow, a set of handcuffs, island designs, ipod, a lap top, horse shoes... In Week 1 the class were surveyed avout their knowledge of writing processes and their attitude t writing, when asked what sort of writing they wanted to do this term the majority indicated they liked poems. So this week they created Bio Poems - some interesting "Who believes and Who wonders" on some of these: Bio Poems

The 2015 School year started today

The class of 2015 arrived in Room 10 this morning - 15 boys, 15 girls and only one absent, meant a good start to the school year. Lots of listening done - finding out about the rules and expectations of a new class and school.
Well done - you had a long day and I was impressed with your positive attitudes - looks like another great year in Room 10 ahead.
