Learning to Classify and Observe

In Science the class is learning about Classification, they have worked collaboratively to group 'animals' by their features



Today they practiced observing using a variety of insects and spiders.

Observation: The ability to notice things, especially significant details.

Attitudes to Reading, Writing and Spelling

In Room 10 we use google forms to give information about attitudes and knowledge in Reading, Writing and Spelling.

This Year's Mobiles

the school year starts with the Mobile Challenge -3 weeks to produce a mobile that reflects the students interests, tells about their aspirations for the future, their family and their likes and dislikes. Every year I am amazed by the wonderful mobiles that arrive in Room 10, and this year's are no exception, so many talented students...

the First Formal Assembly

Friday Week 1 and the first formal assembly of the year. The school House Captains were announced so I got some of the class to host the assembly - a big thanks to Cade and Avania who never even hesitated when I asked them to do it and to Jordyn and Hamiora for so willingly volunteering to assist them.
 It's 'a big job' and the four of them handled it as if they'd been at Tokoroa Intermediate for ages! 







2017 in Room 10 begins...

School has started for 2017, this year Room 10 has 31  students - 15 girls and 16 boys.
