The softball team played their final game today against a depleted Room 16 team - as we were missing 3 of our star players that was probably a good thing. Luckily some wonderful batting from the Manu boys, Fellan and Nevada ( our sole girl player!) meant a Room 10 victory as unfortunately today our fielding wasn't our greatest. Still a win is a win!

Portraits, Tiki's, and Softball 2014
Room 10 students had to 'recreate themselves' using pastels, the end results were interesting...
'About Me' tiki's were created to present information about our interests, family and likes and dislikes. These ones were some of the best...

The 'Create a Mobile' Homework Challenge
The first homework for the year is the 'mobile challenge' - the class are given the challenge of presenting information about themselves, their family, their interests and aspirations for the future as a mobile. Those created by Room 10 2014 students are all pretty amazing...
A few didn't make the deadline, but it was good to see them arrive with their creations this morning.
Roberts - certainly a 'heavy one'
Kani - hope he doesn't need his hats in a while.
Ezekiel - lots of information here.
Fallan"s loves his rugby !
Shakira - beads used effectively here.

Bio Poems
It's already Week 2 in Room 10, and the class of 2014 have been busy, learning about rules and doing tests so we can be grouped for learning in maths, reading and writing.
The softball team had a 13-0 win over Room 9 but have our hardest game coming up - against Room 12. Mrs Long is determined to win this year!
The swimming sports were today, many of the class entered so we are hopeful we had some successes in the pool.
The non - swimmers wrote Bio Poems and then experimented with formatting their pictures when they published them:
