Whare Prizegiving 2024

Our Whare Pono Prizegiving was held on 12th December 
Certificates given out were  - for Excellence in Huarahi, Leadership - School, Whare and Ropu - Huarahi leaders,  Class Awards ( 2 Year 7 and 2 Year 8 each class).  Maths Whizz Green Tick and Attendance Certificates, Principal's - Deputy Principals and Assistant Principals  Awards, Class Councillors and certificates for those who helped with Garden to Table Maara Kai, there Lawn Care team and  our Year 8's all got Leaving Certificates.

Kelani not only co-hosted the Prizeging as one of our Pono School Leaders - she also received many well deserved awards/

Room 10's Class Merit Awards were presented  to: Year 7 - Levi Shaw and Blake Creigh Smith                                                                                                Year 8 - Temali Tausinga and Braxton Smith

Other major awards received were:

Food Technology - Ina May Petero                                                                                                              Hard Materials -   Ina May Petero and Zoe Luxford                                                                                    Kapa Ahurea - Teinakore Ford Takiri and Kelani Maea     

                                                                                                                                    
















                                                

                            A special award was given to Noah Martin - The Bunnings Award ! 

Noah sees a job needs doing and he says 'I can fix that ... and he does. First up this year was when my laminator got jammed and I thought it was beyond repair - with some help from his friends, he soon had it working again 
Then when he saw that one of our picnic tables had been graffiti all over it - he took it upon himself to sand it down and paint it. No job to big or too small for Noah
